CSCI is interested in the health and well-being of all employees and their families and provides a comprehensive health, dental and life insurance program and other insurance benefits that allow employees to choose the coverage best suited to their and their families’ needs.
CSCI pays 100% of the premiums for employee life insurance, dental and disability coverage. For those employees who elect medical and prescription drug coverage, CSCI will pay 65-90% of the premiums; the other 10-35% is paid by the employee through payroll deduction. For dependent coverage, CSCI pays 65-75% of the Dependent Medical and Dental premiums and 100% of the family life insurance premium; the employee pays 25-35% of the dependent medical and dental premiums for eligible dependents through payroll deduction.
Employees automatically receive basic short-term and long-term disability insurance and have the option to purchase additional long-term disability insurance if interested.
CSCI offers a health care flexible spending account and a dependent care flexible spending account to allow individuals to pay for eligible health care expenses (including many over-the-counter medications) and dependent care expenses (including child and elder care) on a pre-tax basis, which helps reduce income taxes.
CSCI helps employees plan for their future by offering a comprehensive retirement benefit program to supplement Social Security benefits and personal savings.
Eligible employees of CSCI may participate in the CSCI Retirement Plan. The Plan is a Profit Sharing/401(k) plan. Under the profit sharing portion of the Plan, CSCI will provide discretionary contributions to the Plan on behalf of each eligible employee on a calendar year basis. The amount is determined year-to-year based on profits and other financial considerations. Under the voluntary contribution portion of the Plan, eligible employees may elect to make tax-deferred contributions up to $15,500 via payroll deductions. CSCI will match 50% of the first 6% of compensation an employee contributes per pay period up to a maximum of $2,000 per year. If the employee is 50 years of age or older, they can make “catch–up” contributions.
The CSCI Retirement Plan also includes a Roth 401(k) Plan option. Contributions are made with after-tax income, but withdrawals are not taxed. Participants may contribute to the traditional plan, the Roth plan, or both.
Upon completion of the first six months of service, employees are eligible for vacation. Thereafter, vacation is calculated in accordance with CSCI’s schedule and is accrued proportionately during each month (or pay period) of employment.
CSCI observes ten paid holidays and schedules all national holidays on the day designated by common business practice.
CSCI is a diverse company and recognizes that employees may want to take time off for various reasons including those associated with their religious holidays.
If employees are required to work, in support of a client, on a national holiday, holiday hours may be taken at another time.
If asked what the single most important thing is in life, most would answer with one single word, family. For this reason, CSCI encourages employees to work with supervisors to set their own schedules so as to allow time for those who matter the most.
Flextime is available to all CSCI employees, at the discretion of their managers, as long as their work schedule permits it.
CSCI is committed to its employee’s personal growth; therefore, we feel an individual who possesses a desire to continue his/her education, in addition to performing his or her full-time job, shows a commitment to personal improvement and corporate advancement. To encourage and reward these individuals, CSCI offers an Education Assistance Plan. CSCI strongly endorses the Educational Assistance Plan as a means of building and maintaining CSCI’s reputation for technical excellence and is aimed at improving both the employee’s ability to perform well in their present position and at providing them with the potential to perform more responsible assignments in the future.
Eligible employees may continue their education in a related field and CSCI may reimburse all or part of the registration and tuition costs. Education Assistance is subject to an approval process.
