Springfield, Va. – September 30, 2008 – CSCI, a unique, defense industry-oriented software and systems development company based in Springfield, Va. announced that it is providing event coordination for the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce 2008 Membership Gala on Friday, October 3, at the Waterford at Springfield. CSCI’s in-house marketing and communications team is providing these services as part of their diamond level gala sponsorship. CSCI’s design team also competed against five other design firms and was chosen to design all printed materials for the gala which included the save-the-date, invitation, program and signage.
Event coordination is nothing new to the marketing team. For the past four years they have planned and coordinated annual black-tie charity galas and golf tournaments for the SemperComm Foundation, a nonprofit military support organization that was founded by CSCI employees. “Our marketing and communications team is very experienced with coordinating these types of events,” said Lara Coffee, CSCI vice president of marketing and communications. We offered to provide event coordination because it’s a perfect opportunity to use our experience and resources to contribute to the success of the Chamber’s membership gala.”
This the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce’s (GSCC) first membership gala. Approximately 150 current and prospective GSCC members are expected to attend. The evening starts at 7:00 p.m. and will include dinner, dancing and a live band.
