SPRINGFIELD, Va., December 5, 2008 – Computer Systems Center Incorporated (CSCI), a leading government technology systems integration, professional services and hardware development firm in northern Virginia, announced that its in-house design team recently received two prestigious 2008 design awards: The MarCom Award and the Davey Award. CSCI’s design team won both of the awards for its work with the SemperComm Foundation. The award-winning pieces were the 2008 SemperComm Gala invitation, the event program and a dramatic 30’ x 25’ art wall, which consisted of hundreds of metal tiles linked together to spell the names of SemperComm Gala sponsors.
The CSCI design team is entering its fourth year of designing collateral for the SemperComm Foundation. “Year after year, our design team raises the bar a little more, adding a fresh new perspective to their designs,” said CSCI CEO, Linda LaRoche. “Being recognized for their work by two highly regarded industry organizations speaks to the level of talent and creativity that our design team has become known for. I am very proud of the team and look forward to seeing more projects that highlight their capabilities.”
The Marcom Award is an international awards competition administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals that recognizes creative excellence in marketing and communications programs and materials. The 2008 competition received over 5,000 entries from all over the United States and several foreign countries. The Davey Award is an international award judged and overseen by the International Academy of the Visual Arts (IAVA) honoring creative excellence in smaller agencies and companies worldwide. “The International Academy of the Visual Arts was honored to have once again participated in the International Davey Awards competition. We were truly amazed and excited at the overall caliber and quality of this year’s pool of entries,” noted Linda Day, Executive Director of the IAVA.
