Springfield, VA—August 4, 2003—Computer Systems Center Incorporated (CSCI), a unique and solidly established small technology company that excels in solving complex problems for the private and public sectors, today announced that Joseph W. Link, president and chief strategist, advanced technology, will speak at the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Luncheon advocating commercial growth in the Springfield area on August 6, 2003. The luncheon panel will discuss the value in selecting Springfield for business and the future vision of the area.

“CSCI proudly represents the local business community and feels obliged to speak favorably on the economic growth because all it has offered us,” said Link. “At the establishment of the company in 1987, CEO, Linda LaRoche, and I recognized the importance of location; as a valued partner for defense and national security, many of our clients are located within the Pentagon/Crystal City Complex, only a short distance from the Springfield Interchange where our headquarters are based.”

The luncheon will provide an opportunity for the community to meet Dr. Gerald L. Gordon, President of the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority and other members of the Authority who have been instrumental in bringing new businesses to the Springfield area. Over the past 10 years, the Springfield area has witnessed an influx of emerging technology companies that has revamped the Springfield community.

“The Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce is committed to the community,” said Nancy-jo Manney, executive director. “We feel it necessary to provide an open forum for the exchange of ideas between community and business leaders in the promotion of economic development in the Springfield area.”
