The candidate will report to the Controller. This position will impact a rapidly growing organization and offers career development opportunities for the right candidate.


  • Provide support to the Controller in general accounting functions, including but not limited to maintenance of general ledger accounts, payroll and taxes, accounts payable, and month-end close procedures.
  • Assist and prepare various tax requirements, including local and state tax filings, personal property tax filings, and other business tax filings.
  • Prepare and provide supporting schedules and reconciliations of balance sheet account reconciliations, including bank account reconciliations.
  • Work closely with the Controller to ensure all payroll activities conform to applicable guidelines, laws, and policies; coordinate related personnel action with Human Resources.
  • Generate year-end tax documents (W-2, W-2c, etc.).
  • Perform and review accounts payable transactions, including vendor setup and 1099s.
  • Reconcile payroll before processing payroll; validate confirmed reports.
  • Compute leave.
  • Support Controller with special projects and workflow process improvements.


  • Must have experience with Deltek CostPoint.
  • Working knowledge of Payroll processing.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong critical thinking skills required to solve complex problems and recommend solutions.


  • Requires a minimum of 2-5 years of experience in accounting.
  • Must have experience with Deltek CostPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with small to medium-sized company experience.
  • Desired experience with Costpoint 7.1.1 and Time and Expense 10.
  • Govcon experience preferred.
  • CPA preferred.


Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
