CSCI is looking for an Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) to work in a very dynamic high-tempo environment to deliver Mission First results! The candidate must be able to work onsite in Springfield, VA Monday – Friday from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, mission requirements may include work outside normally scheduled hours to have possibly nights and weekends to meet mission requirements.

The AFSO will report directly to the FSO and assists in the development, implementation, and maintenance of security procedures as required by the Cleared Facility, the Department of Defense (DOD), the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) , and the National Industrial Security Manual (NISPOM).

The minimum requirement for this position is to have a minimum of three (3) years of professional security experience in the Department of Defense (DoD) environments with demonstrable success as an AFSO. Responsibilities

Responsible for supporting CSCI at the Springfield office. The selected candidate will be responsible for the following, but not limited:

Assists the FSO with implementing the industrial security program and ensuring it meets the company and customer security requirements.
Processes new employee security clearances.
Tracks security clearance investigations and performs administrative support functions, including implementation of SEAD 3 Reporting requirements
Provides security briefings, debriefings, and awareness training for site personnel.
Processes outgoing visit requests and certifications.
Review required forms, processes and screens security forms.
Ensures document control security by safeguarding classified documents following the NISPOM and through coordination with government agencies,
Assists in preparation for facility reviews and inspections.
Provide training for employees and classified/secure project personnel.
Assist the FSO with self-inspection and review of security processes to ensure compliance with relevant laws.
Assist the FSO with the coordination of closeout for all classified projects.
Oversight of company CUI processes and compliance.
Support other company security disciplines in connection with classified/secure projects.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Have an active Secret clearance within a 5-year scope.
Demonstrated success as an Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) or equivalent positions for a minimum of 3+ years with Working Knowledge of the NISPOM, other relevant DoD security guidance, DCSA guidance, and Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs).
Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and make significant contributions in a team environment.
Must have excellent communication skills, including verbal and written, and be an experienced Security professional with tact and diplomacy being key.

Degree:

AA/AS or equivalent experience in a security or business related field required. BA or BS in a security or business related field preferred.

Training/Certifications:

Security Certifications (SFPC, SAPPC, SPIPC, and SPSC) preferred.
