CSCI is a Woman-Owned Small Business seeking an experienced, intricately motivated mid-level Task Security Officer (TSO) with a focus on Personnel Security who will provide “day-to-day” multi-discipline support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP) activities.

The mid-level TSO will manage the Program’s Personnel Security Program by ensuring the official database is up to date, transitioning all personnel security information, DoD Personnel Accountability Reporting System (PAR) generation, tracking of PARs, and assistance with billet management.

The candidate must have a current Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility and eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information.

This position is on-site, Monday-Friday in Springfield, VA.

The minimum requirement for this position is 8 years of professional security experience in the Department of Defense (DoD) environment. If your resume does not meet these requirements, please do not submit it because your candidacy with not be accepted.

Responsibilities

The candidate’s responsibilities include but not limited to;

  • Ensure strict adherence to the provisions of the NISPOM, its Supplement, the DoD Overprint, DCID, ICD, and SAP policy.
  • Ensure program security paperwork is maintained.
  • Assist with compliance inspections and security standardization training.
  • Maintain all personnel security records and ensure records are current and in­ accordance with applicable personnel security requirements.
  • Generate PARs, track PARs, and assist with billet management.
  • Assist with the transitioning of all personnel security information to the JADE database.
  • Ensure accurate and timely updates of personnel briefings and debriefing records in JADS and JADE.
  • Conduct annual personnel security reviews, including JADS and JADE database reviews, and prepare and execute corrective action plans as required.

Skills - Minimum of 8 Years Experience

Required Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • AA/AS or equivalent experience in a security or business-related field is required. B.A. or B.S. in a security or business-related field preferred.
  • 8 years of related experience required in the DoD environments. 
  • 5 years experience with SAPs within the DoD.
  • Extensive knowledge of Special Access Programs.
  • Extensive Knowledge of JADS or JADS database. 
  • Impeccable customer service skills.
  • Expert experience using Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe tools and systems, including Excel, Project, Teams, SharePoint, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • The employee must maintain clearance and eligibility throughout employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working USN customers, but not required.

Experience Levels:

LEVEL 1 – requires a minimum of 3 years related experience
LEVEL 2 – requires a minimum of 5 years related experience.
LEVEL 3 – requires a minimum of 8 years related experience.
LEVEL 4 – requires a minimum of 10 years related experience.

Training/Certifications:
Basic Information Security, Department of Defense Personnel Security Adjudicator Course, Marking Classified Information, Derivative Classification Course, and Personnel Security for Customized Adjudication.

Applicants are required to have, at a minimum, a TOP SECRET (TS) clearances with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the last 5 years.
