CSCI is seeking a well-qualified and self-motivated Network Systems Engineer 3 to support a customer located in in Springfield, Virginia. The candidate must have strong network experience maintaining Cisco switches and routers, and troubleshooting general LAN/WAN problems. In addition, the individual must have good knowledge of general security methodologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and access control lists.
The candidate will be integrating and evolving Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) products to form secure and fully automated environments. The automation and integration of hardware and software technologies require the candidates to develop and troubleshoot scripts in many different forms (DOS, VB, JAVA, and HTML). Also, the candidate must document and train personnel on the administration and configuration of all developed technology. The candidate is expected to maintain integrity, availability, and confidentiality requirements by adhering to configuration management processes and should provide evidence of extensive subject matter expertise in the form of significant industry certifications and related experience.
Five (5) years of experience providing network engineering, network administration, enterprise management, and database administration support to information technology environments.
Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Sciences and three (3) years related experience – OR – successful completion of certified Tech/Voc school and comparable Department of Defense specialized training, plus five (5) years of directly related, progressively complex experience.
DoD 8570 Compliance. Security+, and CCNA required. CCNP, CCDP, CCDA, Network +, and/or MSCE desired.

Applicants are required to have, at a minimum, a SECRET and are eligible for a TOP SECRET (TS) clearance.
