The CPSO will be the subject matter expert in providing oversight and developing security structure, policies, and procedures for the customer.

The minimum requirement for this position is to have a minimum of eight (8) years of professional security experience in the Department of Defense (DoD) environments. If your resume does not meet these requirements, please do not submit it because your candidacy with not be accepted.

Responsibilities

The candidate’s responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Perform the duties as the Contract Program Security Officer for the customer location.
  • Be the subject matter expert, provide oversight, and develop a security structure, policies, and procedures for the facility.
  • Ensure all required documentation is on file by current policy and directive.
  • Provide day-to-day security support for the security office, which encompasses physical and personnel security and maintain and manage an environment that is “ready for inspection.”
  • Perform essential duties of assisting with escorting and the development of new facilities.
  • Administer and coordinate security activities following DoD policies and procedures to ensure compliance with National policy.
  • Develop, review and maintain Program Protection Plans and SOPs, and develop and conduct in-person security training. Training will consist of annual and new employee training.
  • Administer security indoctrinations, refresher briefings, and debriefings. Update all applicable security management systems with personnel actions taken.
  • Understand the roles and missions of the customer and the corporate Program Managers.
  • Anticipate requirements and lead with recommended solutions.

Skills - Minimum of 8 Years Experience

Experience:

The minimum requirement for this position is to have a minimum of eight (8) years of professional security experience in the Department of Defense (DoD) environments. 

Degree:

AA/AS or equivalent experience in a security or business related field required. BA or BS in a security or business related field preferred.

Training/Certifications:

Basic Information Security, Department of Defense Personnel Security Adjudicator Course, Marking Classified Information, Derivative Classification Course, and Personnel Security for Customized Adjudication.

Minimum Clearance:

Applicants are required to have, at a minimum, a TOP SECRET (TS) clearances with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the last 5 years.
