As CSCI’s President and Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Greg Shomo has more than 25 years of experience in various “C” class positions delivering successful results for entities ranging from small companies to large multi-billion-dollar corporations.
Previously, Mr. Shomo served as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Medical Science and Computing (MSC), a leading research provider to the National Institute of Health. His services there included assisting with the substantial rapid growth of the company over a three year period that resulted in the successful culmination of MSC acquisition. Before MSC, Mr. Shomo was the Chief Operation Officer (COO) for A-TEK, Inc, a scientific and technology government contractor.
Formerly, Mr. Shomo was a Director of Operations for a quarter-billion-dollar unit with Lockheed Martin Inc. Mr. Shomo was responsible for all financial and managerial operations of the group. In addition to his Unit responsibilities, Mr. Shomo provided services on Lockheed Martin’s Merger and Acquisition Team, providing pre-value qualifications, due diligence work, and on-boarding new acquisitions. He received the Lockheed Martin IS&GS Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2008.
Beforehand, Mr. Shomo was the CFO and COO for several federal government contractors where he spearheaded rapid growth that eventually resulted in the successful chain acquisition process that led him into Lockheed Martin. His areas of expertise include financial and managerial operations, corporate leadership and team building, strategic growth initiatives, organizational change management, and full lifecycle M&A.
Mr. Shomo received his Bachelors of Business Administration Degree from James Madison University with majors in Accounting and Management Information Systems and minors in Economics and Data Processing. Mr. Shomo is a Certified Public Accountant.
