Lara Coffee Honored with 2021 HR Impact Award by the Washington Business Journal

SPRINGFIELD, VA. (April 19, 2021) – CSCI is proud to announce that Executive Vice President of Human Resources, Marketing & Communications, Lara Coffee, has been honored with the 2021 HR Impact Award by the Washington Business Journal!

The Washington Business Journal HR Impact Award is in its fourth year as part of its Best Places to Work program. The award is given to three of Greater Washington’s top Human Resources leaders that have demonstrated a specific and tangible impact on their workplace in the past year. These HR leaders also have a track record of helping make their workplace environment productive, creative, and safe for all of their employees. The Washington Business Journal staff judges the awards.

This past year of the COVD-19 pandemic stretched human resources tasks immensely as businesses had to pivot to remote working wherever possible while protecting any necessary on-site staff. Through Lara’s guidance, diligence, and support, CSCI partnered with Privia Health (Privia), one of the largest, integrated multi-specialty medical groups in the country, to launch a COVID Care Coordination Program for all employees. Lara provided standard health and safety operating procedures for team members to follow while keeping them engaged with the company and each other through this unprecedented time globally. She maintained contact with the team, encouraging them and updated them on COVID testing for them and their family members as needed.

“Lara’s genuine passion for employee development has made her indispensable at CSCI,” said Linda LaRoche, CEO, CSCI. “The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic added an unprecedented level of human resources responsibilities and concerns, especially as a government contractor working with the Federal Government. In addition to sending as much of the workforce as possible to work remotely, Lara played a critical role in coordinating collaboration with Privia Health to provide our staff with the peace of mind of testing, care coordination, and vaccinations for themselves and their family.”
