CSCI’s Lara Coffee Honored With Women In Technology Leadership Award
SPRINGFIELD, VA. (October 30, 2020) –
Lara Coffee, Executive Vice President of Human Resources, Marketing & Communications, CSCI, was honored with the Women In Technology (WIT) Leadership Award in the Corporate Small Market category in a virtual ceremony held on Thursday, October 29th.
The Women in Technology Leadership Awards annually recognize female leaders whose achievements, mentorship and contributions to the community align with the WIT mission of advancing women in technology. These women make mentoring a key component of their own success.

Lara Coffee is a rare female EVP and corporate director in the defense technology industry that thrives in multiple disciplines. Her role has evolved from heading marketing/communication, adding human capital operations, and then business operations. Lara plays a significant role at CSCI using her systems and analysis skills to build out new tools and approaches on both internal and external technologies, as one of the primary leaders in changing the strategy and direction of the company that has empowered teams to develop powerful new technologies, and continuously showing there are no limits on what women can achieve in a male-dominated industry.
She has employed tools for compensation analysis, benefits enrollment, and learning and development platforms and leveraged the strategy shift and organizational design principles to create more opportunities for women to take leadership roles in the company, seeding the pipeline of the next group of women leaders.

Lara ensures that CSCI supports the team and that their products and services meet client needs. Her strategic counsel has significantly improved the company. In addition to her efforts in her industry, Lara currently serves on the Parents Committee at her children’s school and previously served as Founding Chair of The Springs Parent Assistance Committee, as Vice President and Member of the Board of Directors of the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce, and on the USA Triathlon Marketing Advisory Committee. Lara and her husband also support numerous charitable endeavors for youth, health, community, and education.
